Henley Veteran Regatta
The veteran men entered Veteran D4x, E4x, F4x, F8+, F4- and G1x. There was a record number of entries and the overall standard at the Regatta continues to rise, with many very high quality races. As always, there was strong international representation, including crews from Australia, the US, Canada, Holland, France, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany.
The E4x, F4x and F8 all reached the finals, with the E4x (Mike Peregrine, Chris Harris, Chris Williams and Graham Bagnall) winning an exciting race against Dart Totnes by a canvas. The F4x lost in the final to a very strong Crefelder composite from Germany and the F8 to an equally strong composite crew from Hellas in Germany. The F4- lost a very hard-fought race in the semi-final by just half a length to the eventual winners, Avon County, who went on to beat a Dutch crew by two lengths in the final.
The veteran women also put in a large entry, with seven crews racing in finals, where they recorded four wins. Gilly Williams and Jo Al-Janabi won their straight final against Tees in women's E2x. A veteran B coxless four of Andrea Finn, Sophia Supple, Pauline Bird and Kate Grose won against a Peterborough/Leicester composite. Kate, Pauline and Andrea then teamed up with Upper Thames for a win in women's C8+, while Rebecca Caroe raced in another Upper Thames composite to win B8+.

World Cup II

Henley Women's Regatta
The women's squad fielded four crews (including two composites) and three single scullers, all of whom faced tough competition in a regatta where numerous course records were broken several times over.
The junior women also boated two quads, one in the J16 trial event and the other in women's junior, an event that was won by a composite featuring club member Rachel Knaster, racing for the American School in London.
Honours went to Elaine Johnstone and London RC's Steph Cullen, who saw off Kingston RC (Canada), then beat Mortlake, Anglian and Alpha by a length and three-quarters to claim the Haslam Trophy for elite lightweight double sculls.
