More GB vests!

Luke and Lawrence have been named in the Great Britain team for the Coupe de la Jeunesse, in Hazewinkel on 28 to 30 July.

Home International selection

Sean Blake has been selected to the Welsh Senior Men's team for the Home International Regatta, while Alex and Dent will race in the Junior Men's pair and eight for England. This year's regatta is hosted by England, but will be held at Strathclyde Country Park.

Molesey Regatta

Two wins for the Women Masters at the 150th anniversary edition of Molesey Regatta: Kathryn Hickmott in C/D singles, and Kathryn, Jo Al-Janabi, Kasia Lawrence and Katie Robins in E quads.

GB Selection

Three TSS athletes and one coach have been named to the Great Britain team for the World Rowing under-23 Championships, which will be held at Plovdiv in Bulgaria from 19 to 23 July.

Henley finalists David Ambler and Saskia Budgett remain in their crews - the men's eight and women's quad respectively - while Meg Saunders is in the women's four. All three were juniors at the club, and have gone on to row at universities in the United States.

Kieran Clark has been appointed as coach to the men's double scull.


Henley Masters Regatta

Three wins at Henley Masters Regatta:

  • F 2x for Mark Alloway and Saman Majd, who have sculled together since they were both at St Paul's in the early seventies
  • WD 4x for Annabel Eyres and Ali Gill, who joined Mary Mazzio and Andrea Thies of Cambridge BC USA to celebrate twenty-five years since they raced at the Barcelona Olympics. 
  • WMB 8+ for Claire McIntosh, Kate Grose, Judith Schulz, Elaine Smith, Caroline Matthews, Andrea Finn and cox Des, along with Quintin's Beks Edgar and Lorna Cardwell of Mortlake, who retained the title won in 2016

Notice of Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of Tideway Scullers School will be held on Tuesday 25 July 2017 at 7.00pm at the Clubhouse, Dan Mason Drive, Dukes Meadows, Chiswick, London W4 2SH.

At the AGM the following will be dealt with and the AGM will be asked to resolve as follows:

  1. To receive the Report of the Club's Executive Committee;
  2. To consider and approve the Treasurer's Report, including the Club's accounts for the period 1 June 2016 to 31 May 2017 and the Club's proposed budget for the period 1 June 2017 to 31 May 2018.
  3. To elect the Officers of the Club, namely the President, Chairman, Captain, Treasurer and Secretary (for which nomiation forms will be provided in the Clubhouse at least 7 days prior to the AGM and will require a proposer and seconder who must be members of the Club); and
  4. To confirm the Trustees of the Club.

Other matters will be discussed and reviewed at the AGM, though not as part of the AGM’s formal procedures. These will include various reports (including from the Captain) as well as a Q&A session.
